Mission Statement
The Bob Graham Center for Public Service is a community of students, scholars, and citizens who share a commitment to renewing the values, knowledge, and skills of citizenship, and training the next generation of public and private sector leaders.
The Bob Graham Center is dedicated to:
• building a culture of student engagement in public life on the campus;
• promoting the knowledge, skills, and dispositions of engaged citizenship through academic and experiential programs; and
• pursuing knowledge and public policy initiatives that will serve the well-being of all citizens.
Governor Graham and the University of Florida founded the Center as a means of integrating student life with society in ways that will benefit both. The Center is part of the Governor’s lifelong commitment to the idea that all Americans need a firm grounding in the democratic traditions of our society and that each generation should understand those traditions in order to preserve and strengthen the nation’s democratic institutions.
