Parks and Rec- Nursery

  •          Commercial landscape inspections
  •          Commercial site plan review
  •          Commercial development review team

  •          Irrigation modernization
  •          Tree installation and maintenance
  •          Annual installation and maintenance

Parks and Rec- Library

  •          Plan and implement an event or series of programs for children and adults
  •          Assist staff with established programs for children and adults
  •          Assist with public use of technology
  •          Design artwork for use in children’s programming
  •          Assist the public at a library service points
  •          Spend time at each Lakeland library location learning about unique strengths of that library
  •          Document perceptions and make recommendations for change

Public Works

  •          Assist with FEMA Community Rating System administrative tasks
  •          Assist with the administration of right of way use permits
  •          Processing and indexing of engineering record documents in the Documents Management System

Public Works

  •          Assist with construction engineering inspections of Federal Grant roadway projects
  •          Assist in construction documentation
  •          Assist in coordination of construction field activities

Community Development

  •          Coordinate the implementation of various comprehensive plan public outreach efforts, including on-line platforms, social media, surveys and public meetings
  •          Assist with the implementation of Neighborhood Sign Topper Program
  •          Assist with research of historic photographs and photography of downtown building s for Downtown Walking Tour story board
  •          Assist with historic resource survey of potential new historic district(s) west and south of Lake Hollingsworth
  •          Identify and apply for grant funding to support and/or expand a bike share program
  •          Update Lakeland’s bus stop inventory database and map
  •          Format the final draft of the Neighborhood Association policies and guidelines
  •          Update the Neighborhood Outreach website

OMB

  •          Preparation for City budget process
  •          Participation in budget document development
  •          Attendance of Business Planning and Budgeting workshops
  •          Building Publisher files and Word documents supporting the City’s strategic and business planning workshop and annual budget document
  •          Continued development of the new data analytics and measurements processes/software

Retirement Services

  •          Scanning into OnBase Unity Client
  •          Update annual news letter
  •          Input employee beneficiaries into PeopleSoft
  •          Exposure to local government financial and pension administration, attending board meetings, etc.
  •          Update Retirement Services home page on Insite

IT Support

  •          Assist in delivering and setup of new pcs and related equipment
  •          Assist in everyday work with work orders and calls
  •          Assist in organization of work areas
