Virginia G. Maurer is the Darden Restaurants Professor in the Warrington College of Business at UF, where she is also the Director of the Elizabeth B. & William F. Poe, Sr. Center for Business Ethics Education and Research. The Poe Center seeks to increase student awareness of the importance of ethics in their personal and professional lives. Through graduate and undergraduate classes, and through its activities and programs, the Center provokes thought and discussion of business ethics. As a result, our students possess the communication skills necessary to succeed in any business environment. Dr. Maurer’s research interests focus on business ethics and corporate social responsibility, as well as on good corporate governance.
Dr. Maurer received her MA and JD degrees from Stanford University, and she has had numerous publications and honors over her career.
