Former Pennsylvania Governor Edward Rendell will speak at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25 in the Pugh Hall Ocora about the importance of developing clean energy alternatives in order to create a more efficient and environmentally-friendly America. As an ardent supporter of renewable energy, Rendell has a proven track record of substantial accomplishments for the public’s benefit.
As Governor of Pennsylvania from 2003-11, Rendell served two terms as chief executive of the nation’s 6th-most-populous state and oversaw a $28.3 billion budget. Committed to making government more responsive to the public, Gov. Rendell cut wasteful spending, improved efficiency and pursued a legislative agenda that included commonsense political reforms that put progress ahead of partisanship.
