Today is National Census Day!

Let's get counted in the 2020 U.S. Census and make a lasting and positive difference for the University of Florida.

Taking the Census is fast and easy, and you can do it online at my2020census.gov/.

We are asking all University of Florida students, faculty and staff who have not yet completed the Census to take a few minutes between 1:30 and 2:30 pm and get their online Census form completed.

This opportunity only comes once every 10 years. Data from the Census determines the number of Congressional representatives serving Florida.

Census data also impacts how billions of dollars in federal funding are spent in the UF community for services that affect you, like school safety, mental health services, and Pell Grants.

How much of a difference does all this make? In Alachua County, home of the University of Florida, we lost an estimated $390 million in government funding over the past 10 years.

Which residence to use:
Make sure you use your normal address where live while you're in school EVEN IF YOU ARE TEMPORARILY ELSEWHERE DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.

Parents SHOULD NOT include children who attend UF unless their student lives at home.

Questions?
Here's a great 2 1/2-min video that explains what college students need to know to be counted in the 2020 Census.

Please take a few minutes now and complete the 2020 Census at my2020census.gov/.

Thank you, and Go Gators!
