The Bob Graham Center has been pursuing survey research with the UF Bureau of Economic and Business Research (BEBR)
to assess the attitudes of Floridians on a host of public policy issues and on gubernatorial candidate preference leading up to the 2014 election.
Florida’s rates of civic engagement, volunteerism and voting behavior often rank at or near the bottom of the 50 states. Since 2008, the Joint Center has published reports on Florida's civic health on an annual basis.
As part of the Center's efforts to study new social media tools and understand how these technologies can develop informed, skilled, and engaged citizens, the Bob Graham Center has partnered with the UF Bureau of Economic and Business Research (BEBR)
to assess the degree to which students are involved in community service and civic activism, and what role social media plays in influencing their decisions.
